Mr. Charles Coleman Honored at MDCPS Community Partners Luncheon

On Thursday, March 19, 2015, the Treetop Ballroom at Jungle Island hosted a luncheon to thank and honor this year’s most exemplary Community Partners. The honorees included our very own Mr. Charles Coleman. Charles Coleman began his service seven years ago as a member of the Design and Architecture Senior High Advisory Board, which is paneled by top industry professionals in Architecture, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Entertainment/Technology/Film, Graphic Design and Fine Arts. His commitment did not end at the advisory level. Mr. Coleman, an art and design collector, obtains donations for the annual “Taste of Design” fundraiser and advocates on behalf of the school to encourage others to volunteer. In addition, he assists in securing internship opportunities for students, purchases art supplies for students who need assistance, and even finances college application fees for students who need help with this as well. His commitment is truly admirable and his generosity has touched many lives.mancuso2Above: Dr. Stacey Mancuso and DASH Advisory Board member Mr. Charles Coleman, smile during the Community Partners Recognition Luncheon where Mr. Coleman was honored for his dedication and generosity to DASH and all its students.
