Dash Flash News// Expands Publication Format

Dash Flash News//, the printed school news has recently expanded the publication to a larger format. Mr. Luis E. Hernandez, Language Arts Teacher and School News sponsor along with Editor-in-Chief, sophomore student, Dylan Etienne-Ramsay will be expanding the format and frequency of the publication for this year and moving forward into the next school year as well. Any student interested in participating in the production of school news should contact Dylan Etienne Ramsay and/or Mr. Hernandez. Artists, writers, photographers, and illustrators are all welcome. Bernice Steinbaum, Survivor of Art World, keynotes DASH Internship Fair

Bernice Steinbaum is one of the United Slates’ foremost art dealers, curators, jurors. and advocates. She first opened the doors of her-gallery In Manhattan’s Soho District in 1977 where for 23 years she championed artists whose work spoke eloquently about the Issues of gender, race, culture and Identity.

In 2000. Steinbaum moved her operations to Miami, FL. The global climate of today prompts the gallery to be a microcosm of this multicultural, visual environment. Apart from being a suceseful art dealer, Bernice Stelnbaum has worked as an accomplished professor at Hofsra and Drake University. She has also received some important distinctons such as being named ‘Woman of the Year’ by the National Organization for Women In 1988, and has received a ‘Lifetime Acheivement Award’ from the Women’s Caucus for Art in 2012.
