Activities Director Jim Gilham gets into the spirit of fiesta during our annual Hispanic Heritage Festival. This rich and spicy day came together last Thursday, October 24th with leadership from our Spanish teacher, Señora Lopez. Students, parents, and staff brought hundreds of delicious platos to share. The PTSA spent all day organizing and serving table after table of mouth-watering dishes. And many dressed colorfully and creatively to show their cultural pride.
While feasting, the school was serenaded by a Mariachi ensemble. To burn off extra bites of flan, staff and students joined together after lunch for dancing, drumming, volleyball in the courtyard, and a thrilling Zumba session in the cafeteria.
Thank you to everyone who made this beautiful celebration so special for DASH!
