48 Hour Film Festival Halloween Costume and Watch Party
Come see this local filmmaking project’s screening on Halloween night! The 48 hour Film Festival challenges groups to complete films incorporating a set of objects and themes within 48 hours for submission. The event starts at 7pm, and at 10pm the screening will begin, featuring zombies on retirement, a day in the life of a hitman, a killer virus and a gypsy curse. The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Don’t miss O Cinema’s annual Rocky Horror event, hosted by Miami’s drag

Super Hero Volunteers needed for Halloween Marathon

Superhero Marathon
Joshua’s Heart Foundation is asking for marathon volunteers on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 5:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Dress like a superhero and volunteer to run a 4 miler, a half marathon, or volunteer to distribute food, water and medals at the finish table. This is a great way to get in a costume, get community service hours, and have a lot of fun. Sign up here.

The DASH animal rights club would like to remind everyone that the documentary Blackfish will be on CNN on October 24 at 9pm. The documentary tells the story of killer whales in captivity at Seaworld and how they are affected emotionally and physically.
