The Bass Museum in Miami Beach recently commissioned artist Augustina Woodgate (you may remember her presentation at DASH last year) to paint a giant game of hopscotch around the museum. This public art piece is a part of the Bass Museum’s temporary contemporary series that has featured artists like Matthew Deleget and Teresa Margolles in the past. To help make this happen, DASH students Luma L., Jill B. and Valentina V. –among other DASH volunteers– spent their time last week putting down squares and numbers from square 500 to about 900. The hopscotch game is now complete and can be enjoyed until November 15th.
