Bass Museum of Art
New exhibit opening this weekend features Mat Collishaw, a visual artist whose most recent work depicts death row inmates’ last meals in a Baroque, chiaroscuro fashion.
In addition to this, on August 30 there is a Friday@Bass event at 7:00pm in which artists Yara and Chat Travieso will present an installation and live music. The event is free for Miami Beach residents and costs $10 for non residents.

International Ballet Festival of Miami

Film: The Artist and the Model

A Miami International Film Festival official selection, this film tells the story of the tenacity of a sculptor to continue his art in the midst of political turmoil and war. Catch it at the Koubek center and pay only $8 if you’re a student.
